1997: Once upon a time…

Managing director Willi von Berg founds Winweb Informationstechnologie GmbH and begins marketing the software winweb-food developed by him. These are not exactly 'garage days', there are bright offices in his own building, but they start small with two additional programmers. One of the first customers – and still a customer – is Schwarzwaldfleisch GmbH in Achern.

2017: What has changed…       What has remained…

Today, 45 employees, mainly programmers, consultants and support staff, take care of the needs of the now more than 150 customers. The offices have moved from the family home to a separate building, equipped with the latest technology and everything that makes a workplace pleasant. – Nevertheless: an impressive, elaborate company building is still not necessary for Winweb. Other priorities take center stage:

The program has grown by almost tenfold, from originally 200 screens to currently about 1700 screens. Customer requests and individual industry requirements of the food industry, especially the meat industry, continually promote innovation and the user-oriented improvement of winweb-food.

Willi von Berg is still the reliable center of Winweb Informationstechnologie GmbH – reliable for the employees in a company with flat hierarchies and quick paths to the boss, – reliable but above all for the customers in fulfilling customer wishes and short response times for new requirements. Winweb as an owner-managed company continues to be a software partner on equal footing for its customers.
