20 years of a success model – Winweb celebrates its anniversary

1997: Once upon a time…

Managing Director Willi von Berg founds Winweb Informationstechnologie GmbH and begins to market the software winweb-food developed by him. These are not exactly 'garage days', there are bright offices in the company's own building, but they start small with two additional programmers. One of the first customers - and still a customer - is Schwarzwaldfleisch GmbH in Achern.

2017: What has changed…       What has remained…

Today, 45 employees, especially programmers, consultants and support staff, take care of the concerns of the now more than 150 customers. The offices have moved from the family home into a separate building, equipped with the latest technology and everything that makes a workplace pleasant. – Nevertheless: an impressive, elaborate company building still does not have to be necessary for Winweb. Other priorities take center stage:

The program has grown almost tenfold, from initially 200 screens to currently about 1700 screens. Customer requests and individual industry requirements of the food industry, especially the meat industry, continuously promote innovation and the user-oriented improvement of winweb-food.

Willi von Berg is still the reliable center of Winweb Informationstechnologie GmbH – reliable for the employees in a company with flat hierarchies and short paths to the boss, – reliable above all, however, for the customers in fulfilling customer requests and with short response times for new requirements. As an owner-managed company, Winweb continues to be a software partner on equal terms for its customers.
