Out of the office, into the adventure: our team day at ELORIA

Last week, the motto at Winweb was: Close the laptop and off to Bottrop! With around 40 colleagues, we were guests at the ELORIA adventure factory, an event location on the grounds of a former coal mine in the Ruhr area. EXPLORIA, Europe's largest escape room, awaits there. However, it has little in common with a classic escape room: Instead of a single room, an entire world in the style of the 1920s awaits you.

In randomly assembled small groups, we competed against each other in competition mode. The shared goal: collect as many Reichsmarks as possible. Teamwork, creativity and now and then a bit of ambition were required. Because the groups were a colorful mix, colleagues who rarely have anything to do with each other in everyday work suddenly found themselves on one team. It was a great opportunity to get to know each other in a different way for once. And there was one or two surprising talents to discover.

What exactly happened in the rooms, we won’t reveal. Photos were not allowed there anyway, and we don’t want to spoil anyone’s fun. After the competition, we rounded off the evening with a delicious buffet.

And who had collected the most Reichsmarks in the end? We honored the winning teams today at the monthly pizza day: There were certificates and a small prize for first place. Congratulations!
